Istanbul - Bolu Abant & Yedigöller Tour
Overview
Full-day nature and mountain tour covering Lake Abant, Yedigöller National Park, Gölcük Nature Park, Akkaya Travertines, Mudurnu and Kartalkaya.
The Bolu Abant & Yedigöller Tour is a full-day nature feast through the deep-blue lakes, seven-coloured ecosystems and snow-capped summits northeast of Istanbul. After an early morning hotel pickup, a comfortable 3.5-hour drive brings you to Lake Abant, perched at 1,350 metres and ringed by fir and pine forest.
Abant offers a different palette every season — copper-gold leaves in autumn, wildflowers in spring, snowscapes in winter. Horse-carriage rides, walking paths and bicycles all circle the lake. Lunch is taken at a lakeside restaurant.
The journey continues to Yedigöller National Park, a protected reserve since 1965 where seven small lakes string together in a magical sequence. Autumn transforms this park into one of the most photographed landscapes in Turkey. Depending on the season we also visit Gölcük Nature Park, the Akkaya Travertines (Pamukkale-style limestone terraces) and the historic Ottoman village of Mudurnu.
In winter, a short stop is added at Kartalkaya Ski Resort — one of Turkey's top winter sports centres. We return to your Istanbul hotel by evening.
